Having Double-Sided Business Cards
These days, people are exploring different ways and means to maximize their resources. Maximizing even your business card can go a long way if you’re a entrepreneur. Even before, these cards would only come in a single color and has no more than a business logo, name and some contact details, people have been experimenting. Now, you could see cards with all types of information from products and services to pictures while others cards even have prints on both sides. Other people believe it lowers the whole ace of exchanging business cards even though some thinks double-sided cards maximize your business in a good way.
Everybody needs business cards and business cards remain an indispensable tool, even in this digital age. Since they are also useful for countless other types of networking, cards are important for business. They make the first and lasting impression of your business and are an easy way to get your message out about you and your business. Typically, business cards are printed on premium card stock and they are offered in variety of sizes and finishes. The quality of the paper you chose for your card is important. Either by 14 point or 16 point, high quality business cards are usually printed on heavy card stock. If you go for inferior quality with lighter stock, you run the risk of your business being judged the same.
Be sure to go with color. You will be impressed with the vibrant, accurate colors and the lasting impression your business cards will leave when using quality stock and full color. There are options you can choose from a gloss UV coating or a matte/dull coating, giving a good quality to your cards. You want your cards to have better quality and feel the professionalism and that’s why making the right options are important.
So do you or do you not need a double-sided business card?
It is not something that would fit all kinds of businesses even if the one who first imagined the idea of printing on both sides of a card must have thought of practicality more than anything else. For example, if you are an artist and you display your work in certain shops or galleries, it would be totally off to print the names of these establishments where people can see and buy your masterpieces. Or if you are a top business executive in a large manufacturing company, it would be completely awkward for you to have the flip side of your card detailing the shops or stores where you sell your products.
A double-sided business card should be good if you’re a businessman based at home who makes custom greeting cards and a host of other services. You can print the different varieties of the goods you make such as corporate gift boxes or personal gift boxes on the back of your card otherwise, you are making ift baskets of all kinds. Usually, service-oriented businesses will be a much better fit for two-sided cards compared to retail or manufacturing businesses which will probably have too much information to include, anyway, that they wouldn’t fit even on both sides of a card.
Another type of business that will benefit greatly from double-sided cards are those that are into digital arts. For example, if you’re a web designer, you may want to showcase your design prowess by creating an attractive two-faced design which should still, of course, include all the important information. One more idea is for entrepreneurs who frequently deals with international customers to have the other side of the card split into two parts, with both part bearing the same contact details but in a different language. The front page should certainly be occupied completely by details using the language that is to be used mainly.
