what elvis presley recording was your first and do you still have it in your personal collection
i still have most of mine crying the chaple was my first buy
“Burning Love” – still have the 45 and was one of the early few 45’s that I bought for myself.
I also inherited my Mom’s vast collection of 33’s -which include “G.I. Blues”, two copies of “Legendary Performances, one, unopened (which we were never even allowed to touch when she was alive), another one where he sings religious songs titled “How Great Thou Art” and a couple of other that I don’t remember the title to.
My son loves to listen to old LP’s, but the only Elvis tunes he likes is “Jailhouse Rock” and “Blue Suede Shoes”; he likes Elvis’s voice, but not always the songs he sang…then again, he is 15 and Elvis to his first memory was the one that overdosed on the commode because people that were closest to him kept him drugged and it didn’t have to happen it someone would have stepped in and cared about the man that cared about everyone else (at least that was always his Grandma’s version of the events).
